Join our Queenstown team and work on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects in one of New Zealand’s most sought-after locations. We’re looking for an intermediate Structural Engineer ready to take ownership of projects and grow in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

About the role

As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to a wide range of projects, applying your technical expertise to deliver practical, high-quality structural designs. This is a varied role that combines design, client interaction, and project delivery.

You will be responsible for:

• Independently managing medium-sized projects from concept through to completion

• Delivering efficient and effective design solutions in collaboration with the wider team

• Coordinating with Senior Engineers to refine and finalise design criteria

• Evaluating and developing structural solutions aligned with client briefs

• Preparing proposals and supporting projects through to delivery and invoicing

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams

• Producing specifications and detailed design documentation

• Undertaking construction monitoring

About you

• Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent

• 5-6 years+  experience in New Zealand, with proven seismic experience to NZ codes and strong technical knowledge

• Working towards your attaining chartership

• Confident managing your own projects and communicating with clients

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Solution focused, a good problem solver

• Adaptable with a keen eye for detail, excellent planning, organising, and time management

• Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people
