Describe your typical day at KR? I spent the majority of my time working on design projects. This consisted of a lot of calculations, some modelling, plenty of structural design along with some site visits and inspections thrown in here and there.

What Projects have you worked on during your summer with us? So far, I have worked on three multi-unit residential households, four non-institutional sleeping units and two commercial units. These all include creating a fire report and/or fire safety sketches.

What have you learnt whilst working here? I have learnt many things particularly about the office environment and how to interact with clients. These skills are not taught at uni but are valuable to the success of KR and I am glad to have had the opportunity to learn about these aspects now.
