Structural Manager
Lead our Structural team across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato, combining technical leadership, business development, and team growth with support from a strong national leadership team.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Manager to join our high-performing team in Tauranga. We are looking for a capable leader to guide and develop our Structural discipline across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions.
This role will also provide oversight and support to our Hamilton structural team, working closely with our National Structural Manager to ensure alignment across the wider business.

About the role
As our Structural Manager you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
You will lead the delivery of structural projects across a diverse portfolio, providing technical oversight, strategic direction, and ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes across the region.
Leading and developing structural teams across Tauranga and supporting the Hamilton team
Manage and oversee delivery of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, budget, timelines and quality standards are achieved
Project delivery across major and multiple structural projects, providing technical leadership and review
Driving business development across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato, including client engagement, proposals, and securing new work
Building and maintaining strong client, contractor, and stakeholder relationships
Supporting regional planning, resource allocation, and capability development in collaboration with our Regional Manager and our National Structural Manager
Contributing to continuous improvement, team development, and strategic business initiatives

About you
We are seeking a CPEng-qualified Structural Engineer with 15+ years’ experience in New Zealand, with strong technical capability in seismic and structural design.
Proven leadership experience within a structural engineering consultancy
Strong business development capability and a track record of growing client relationships and securing work
Ability to oversee and deliver complex structural projects across multiple sectors
Strong commercial awareness, including risk, budgeting, and project profitability
Excellent communication skills with a personable, approachable leadership style
Experience working across multi-office or regional delivery environments
A proactive approach to mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
A collaborative mindset, comfortable working closely with national leadership
A solutions focused and forward thinking approach to engineering challenges
