Our architectural team works nationally on large, complex and exciting projects across a range of sectors and, with a strong pipeline of work ahead, we have an opportunity for the right person to join our team.
About the role
Working within our architectural team, you will take ownership of architectural documentation and project delivery tasks across a range of commercial, industrial and land development projects.
As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and confidently manage their workload while drawing on support from senior team members when required.
You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design and consent documentation through to tendering, construction observation and project completion.
Prepare architectural drawings/specifications and associated documents and reports.
Creation of detailed drawings for concept, application, tender and construction. Production and processing of applications, tender and construction project specific documentation.
Quality assurance compliance and project delivery.
Carry out site construction observations, site inspections, and reports.

About you
You will be an architectural graduate with approximately 2–5 years' experience who is looking to continue developing your career within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
A Bachelor of Architecture (or equivalent recognised qualification)
2+ years' experience working within a New Zealand architectural practice or engineering consultancy
Experience working on commercial or similar projects
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take initiative and manage multiple project responsibilities within a collaborative team environment
Strong technical documentation and detailing skills
Proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows and Rendering and visualisation software – Twinmotion, Photoshop
A sound understanding of the New Zealand Building Code, relevant legislation and statutory approval processes, including the RMA and NZS 3604
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership of your work
