About the role
You will lead our team of structural engineers, creating a high-performance focused culture through personal leadership, teamwork, coaching and mentoring.
Lead the delivery of projects, as well as provide technical expertise on complex residential and commercial projects, and establishing and maintaining client relationships.
- Manage the teams workload, as well as being hands on when required in preparing preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, managing on-site investigations and monitoring, and reporting on the progress of project delivery and technical development within the team.
- Maintain strong working relationships with all clients, stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
- Produce proposals and further develop our business achieving sustainable growth
- Manage all size projects, including cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets
- Actively contribute to the development and implementation of overall company strategies

About you
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, empathy for others, sociable and friendly, with a positive drive and resilience
- CPEng qualified with 10-15 years+ professional structural engineering experience in New Zealand, with solid technical expertise in seismic design
- Understand risk, be commercially astute and place a high regard on client satisfaction
- Experience in leading and managing the delivery of structural engineering projects
- Adept at planning and organising multiple teams that collaborate effectively with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects
- Strong leadership skills, mentoring team members, being a role model for promoting high work standards to deliver high quality client projects on time and within budget
- Thrive on a challenge and be motivated to provide innovative and cost-efficient solutions for our clients
