We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist/Field Technician to join our growing team in Christchurch; to work on geotechnical investigations and reporting across a wide variety of projects nationally. About the role

You will undertake geotechnical engineering investigations, working in the field conducting testing, sampling, logging results for reporting, and conducting analysis. Scheduling projects and communicating with clients, as well as undertaking site observation/inspections of on-site works during construction.

You’ll be working with our dynamic team delivering high quality geotechnical engineering to a range of clients nationally.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geologist, or Engineering Diploma with field technician experience, or equivalent qualification
• 2 years’+ experience as a geotechnical field technician within a consultancy
• Environmental/Civil experience is a bonus, but not essential
• Basic knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability, retaining wall, earthworks and geotechnical foundation engineering
• A high level of attention to detail with excellent planning and sound problem-solving skills, you will take pride in producing quality documentation
• Thrive on a challenge and be motivated to provide innovative solutions for our clients
• Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people
